30th Anniversary DVD

Taped before live audiences at the Fitzgerald Theater in Saint Paul, MN, this DVD features the 30th anniversary broadcast with Keillor and cast performing their singular blend of folk, blues and gospel songs and topical comedy sketches. The broadcast includes appearances by special guests BR549, Philip Brunelle, Jearlyn Steele and Inga Swearingen, in addition to cast regulars Sue Scott, Tom Keith, Fred Newman and Tim Russell and music by The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band.

A Prairie Home Companion LIVE DVD

This live episode features legendary English singer-songwriter Elvis Costello, vocal powerhouses Jearlyn and Jevetta Steele, songstress Heather Massey and Robin and Linda Williams. Also on the program, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors: Sue Scott, Tim Russell and Erica Rhodes. Both Tom Keith and Fred Newman were on hand to create sound-effects mayhem. All this, plus a punched-up Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band (a special horn section was flown in from New York), episodes of “Guy Noir” and “Lives of the Cowboys,” a Powdermilk Biscuit Break, and, of course, The News from Lake Wobegon.

Of Interest to Public Radio Fans

Friends and colleagues of Tom Keith put on a show in his honor Saturday, November 12 at the Fitzgerald Theater. There were no speeches, no laments. Instead there were songs, magic, dancers, jokes, juggling, loon calling, the Mighty Wurlitzer and a pie in your face. If you were a fan of Tom Keith’s work, you will enjoy this touching program.
